use one of those traps that kills them instantly - cuz at least they don't suffer and they never knew what hit them.. I'm surprised you were able to get him off it cleanly.. I tried and got one arm off, but the sticky stuck to him and he couldn't move that arm.. there was no way he would have survived getting him off the trap and, if he did, he'd be suffering and easy prey..

i can't believe they still sell them.. that really should be illegal..
