I also pray it never comes to it BUT....If I ever get the BIG C, I almost hope it's like my Step Dad. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and gone in just under three months. I am scared of looooooooong winded "treatments" that just make me weak and miserable and just buy a few more miserable moths or a year.
In actuality, I'd like to be like the Dad of a good friend of mine. Happened when I was in Boot Camp in 1986. My Bud's Dad came home from playing basketball with my Bud and other friends. He took a step or two into the house and told my Bid's Mom.. "Dang! I suddenly feel like crap! Not three seconds later, he hit the floor dead. It's bitter shock for the family. But I wonder what is worse...That or a painful long good bye.
