You can achieve as quickly as you want.... just put in the 'study'. A very quick way for the 'written' is to take one of the crash courses.... maybe one weekend? Read the Private Pilots manual once all the way thru then take the course... which includes the test (official) at the end of the last day of the course. You'll pass with flying colors! I didn't take a course like that when I first passed the test.... don't think they were even offered back then. I took it some 20 years later as a 'refresher'.

My first time studying for the exam I was VERY quick.... not because I was gifted. laughing smiley Like you I LOVED, (no exaggeration), aviation and everything to do with aviation. If I remember correctly I passed my written in less than a month after I began studying even though the course I was taking at the time was 6 months in duration.

I took my first solo flight at 5 hours of instruction... I think 'normal' is 8 to 10 hours maybe? Again... not because I was gifted... just LOVED it.
