I think just about anyone who watched HSB became addicted to it -certainly the opening scene and music which I watch often. Lots of great memories during that time period and the series always brings me back to those times. If anything it opened cop tv to more interpersonal stuff allowing police officers to become more closely identifiable to the average viewer. Lawrence Tribe the great constitutional lawyer and Harvard professor said of the series: "the best ever".
