Yeah, I loved Hec. I think I loved everything Richard Boone ever did. A favorite of mine.
Forgive me this tangent - I took some friends to Ram's game WAY back in the 70's. They had never been to a Pro game. I had season tickets.. Rams, Coliseum.
Walking out we passed Hugh O'Brian. He was dressed in solid leather.. coat, shirt, pants. Hell, maybe his underwear. The wife of one of the guys I took to the game LOVED Hugh... her favorite actor. She had a crush on him. So she didn't give a patootie about the Rams, the game, but seeing Hugh and getting his autograph? Priceless.
She passed away a few years ago but while with us she would send me a message every now and then thanking me for that experience.
