that is: What would you, personally, consider too wide of an age difference for a romantic relationship?
In general I'm not much of an absolutist... I think a very large difference is "possible" but with extreme differences VERY unlikely, and rare. And note: Definitely not considering a 'minor' in this.
Buzz and his wife are 30 years apart... that's a big difference... but at their ages, she being 63 and him 93 I can see how this 'could' work. Take it the other way... 23 and 53... that's more difficult for me to think possible BUT... still not utterly 'impossible'. Very very very unlikely to 'work' however and IMHO.
For me I think wide gaps when both parties are older... say over 50, are more likely to work than wide gaps with people who are younger.
Now obviously what I have in mind is Hollywood where this occurs frequently. Do elderly actors/actresses who get involved with much younger people seem completely taboo to you or at least somewhat possible as far as 'working', in rare cases? - JamesJM
