Sounds like a bunch if whinny drivel to me…CLICKBAIT! I am hoping it motivates or angers McVay because I haven’t seen anything in McVay that suggests he’s a quitter, or afraid to take on a challenge… quite the opposite when challenged in 2021 season. after loosing every game in November … things looked bleak, but he rallied players. changed our style of play, playing much closer to the vest, and was able to string several wins together through multiple player injuries and covid inactives getting us to Super bowl and winning it. He did a similar thing in 2017-2018 when Gurly lost his wheels, he brought in Anderson, emphasized the run and got us to super bowl…. He didn’t hesitate in getting rid of Gurly or Goff when he felt it was necessary, despite ramifications…and still maintaining our competitiveness and winning a Superbowl.
I am not sure what these “know it all fans expect”, our roster has been good BUT NOT GREAT. It’s the coach that has gotten us over the hump! Despite the criticism from many of these same fans We wouldn’t have gone where we’ve been the last six years without McVay yet we have fans calling for us to cut bait and moved on,,,wanting a coach like that Whinning Sean Payton who took his team to ONE superbowl in what 14-15 years as Saints head coach, admittedly he did win that ONLY Superbowl appearance in 15 years. Hell McVay got us to two Superbowls in his first six years, winning one, when it really counted for our owner who was able to showcase his new RAMS stadium to WORLD in its opening year.
Hell I say lets cut bait on the bandwagon fans calling for McVay's head…they obviously weren't there in the black drought years from 1990 through 1998 or 2004 through 2016 and cut bait on media, always looking and pointing fingers, looking to place blame, dividing fans for clickbait.
Who wants to go back to those times when pundits were laughing and smirking at our haoless below average team. If I’m owner I would do whatever it takes to keep McVay happy as our head coach!!! He deserves our full support. Wake up guys there is not a better alternative out there.
