I remember a Great Show many yrs ago that had Deacon Jones and Dick Butkus on it. They were asked what made them so Great and they both basically said they thought more aggressive players played Defense.

They said they came to play every game and they would play for free because they luv the game. They also said they like seeing offensive players play with a Defensive mindset. GO RAMS!
