I trust Ramsey in agressive coverage. No one else. Not a single corner. Not a single safety. we talk about the Rams perceived lack of investment in the offensive line (which isn't true imo) but there's almost no major investment in our secondary outside of Ramsey. Our safety core is mostly undrafted and late rounders. We've spent 4th round picks on corners and it hasn't really worked out just yet. Rapp is the highest pick we've invested in a secondary player.
I think the Rams try to scheme around this, and they've hit on guys like Darius Williams, but in general they don't have the corners to play aggressively. In fact I think an experienced corner should be their top FA priority. Doesn't need to break the bank but if you have to play ultra conservative to mask your corners weakness then you may be better off just investing in the position.
