Great analysis, I thought.
Seems like 90-95 % positive outlook, one dig against Baker was that he does good with his Progressions when things are going well, and not so good when his team gets behind and he has to play "sandlot" football.
Isn’t that true of every QB?
Hey, 43.
Absolutely, yes. To a certain degree.
I would say though, that I think some QBs operate under the pressure of being behind in the score better than others.
I hate to use Brady as an example, because I honestly cannot wait until he is finally and fully retired. But, I do have to recognize his ability to score quickly at the end of a game for the win. When the Cards fumbled late in the game last week, I told my wife, that's it. Game over. They failed to score in regulation, and just gave Brady another chance for the win. Cards gagged in OT, Bucs didnt, and effin Brady did what he's been doing for the last 20 years. AGAIN.
If I heard Kurt correctly, I thought I heard him say that the Rams Offense fits Bakers style/preference well, but that he (Kurt) wouldn't do so well with it.
So, two types of QBs, two types of preferences, two different ways to excel.
Regarding playing well under pressure, I think there are 2 kinds of pressure.
When a QB is getting hit consistently within 2-3 seconds (like Stafford early this year), I think ANY QB will get rattled, even Brady.
But playing under the pressure of having to move the ball for the win late in a game, not all QBs are equal.
