...to a complete rebuild?

Imagine this as the polar image of how the team was built after they had sufficient talent to "go all in." Their success laid the blueprint for teams that are close...to get them over the hump. How much would Jerry Jones overpay right now? Every top 10 team would bid for the best assets. How much draft capital could be gained by trading Stafford, AD, Ramsey, and Kupp? I'm talking historic, young, cost controlled rebuild that would outstrip the 90's Cowboys and 70's Steelers.

Watching McVay take a practice squad OL and coordinate a complete @ss whipping that sends a veteran coach into unemployment makes me think such a challenge would thrill him even though it would be a complete goodbye to these beloved brothers.

My head says this could be brilliant if I coukd trust McSnead to draft and trade well. My heart says HELL NO, let's go all in and ACQUIRE what we need to win it all in 2023.

Frankly, anything other than those two extremes would disappoint me. These guys are true trailblazers about pre season preparation, injury mitigation, roster building, and coaching development. Cutting edge IS their identity. Either direction, to me...is all in!

Is this a variation on the ‘have to destroy the village in order to save it?’
