Injuries were biggest single factor, to be sure. We all agree on that.
But there were many other contributing factors, as well.
Some mediocre drafting decisions (for several years).
Some VERY questionable play calling.
Loss of too many quality asst coaches over the years and inadequate replacements hired.
Some puzzling decisions on some starting personnel. (Evans, Atwell, Kolone, McCutcheon, Hollins, Kendrick, Rapp, Rochell, Lake. To name a few that they maybe started when they had other better options OR a few that they didn’t give snaps to that maybe they should have.
Allowing TE room to be depleted to the point that McVay’s hands are tied in scheming his O. We can’t currently run 12 personnel sets, for crying out loud.
A problem cannot be solved until one has first identified it as a problem.
Rams have multiple problems running simultaneously. And they go far beyond current injuries.
