We've had disappointing drafts even with Holmes.
The big factor is we've drafted late in the order so you have to be extra good at scouting. And we haven't been with, or without, Holmes.

All teams have had disappointing drafts... it's the most inexact science on earth.

Despite the Rams having the least amount of draft capital in NFL since 2016 there has NOT been a more successful team in the NFL than the Rams, besides maybe the Chiefs.

You don't do that with horrible drafting and bad scouting.

Don't confuse this horrendous season as being due to bad drafts, cuz it isn't .

Yes, yes, I get that. I'm not looking at this year as the only measure. My criteria is whether A) the guy can be replaced by a free agent. cool smiley whether they are offered a second contract or C) if they're still in the league by the time of their second contract. We seem to have a lot of recent choices who we (the fans) don't seem to miss when they're gone or actively seem to want them gone.
My only point was that drafting late makes it harder to find studs, Holmes's loss likely had little effect.
