I once read that Ted Williams, perhaps the greatest hitter that ever lived, experienced difficulty as a manager because he couldn’t understand why his players struggled to hit a baseball.

Ted Williams once said that he could see the stitches on the baseball when he was deciding whether to swing.

Gawd! That kind of eyesight would make an eagle jealous.
