The hard/fun part of trying to determine coverages is not just the base scheme--Cover 2, Cover 4, Cover 6, 2man, etc, but also the specific rules the dbs play by.

The rules are the really fun part to me. You take the possible route combinations and determine the best way to play them by position. Rules like, boundary corners follow their man everywhere even in a zone, or slot corners passing off inside routes, following downfield and out. The rules are the key imo.

I fully expect McVay to evolve the offense to a more isolation game. But it seems the picks and rubs are more lucrative to McVay than defined coverage. Another interesting debate one could nerd out on.
