Rampage2K-
When you go through 15 OL and 12 different line combos in 12 games it's not surprising to see all the positions on offense struggle
Before this insanity, the Rams have always been a top 10 offense under McVay....this year is a fluke and an outlier
Some of the names you listed weren't drafted 2-4 and some weren't even drafted
It's hard to argue the Rams failing at anything really, when you consider they've been top 1-3 team in terms of overall success since the McVay era began
Yes, they've made mistakes and aren't perfect in drafts and FA, but no team is and no team ever will be
You’re overreacting, R2K.
Where to start?
1. I had already conceded the impact of injuries, particularly to OL. But does that excuse the Evans stupidity, for example?
2. Yes, McVay’s Offenses have historically been great, but what does that have to do with talent acquisition drop off for several years? Two entirely separate things.
3. You are correct about some players not drafted, especially by Rams. I should have used the word acquired, huh?
4. Yes, Rams have been successful under McVay, but, again, that was never the point. The point is that Rams are not acquiring talent nor are they developing talent as they once were and if that continues then Rams will slide back to a middle of the road team at some point. I’m afraid that it’s already started.
5. Nobody is demanding perfection here. Just demanding a return to the former high standards of talent acquisition and player development. Think of me as the canary in the coal mine. Lol.
