Ramsey really is still a very good corner. He just yaps way too much and gives up a few impactful plays. But he is One who can headline a secondary. We have no other corners we can be confident in and very little cap space to change that. Our secondary would be worse next year IMO.
Second, what message does it send for team morale when you start trading core members during a Superbowl window. And one of the few who is still playing like he cares. Remember, before Ramsey got here (and even beyond then for some) he was treated like a malcontent and a cancer. Yet here he is battling week to week on a team that isn't going anywhere this year.
Our championship window is smaller than ever y'all. Any trade of Donald, Kupp, Ramsey, etc is an admittance that we're tearing it down.
