The Los Angeles Rams are preparing to take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13 and they’ll likely be without Matthew Stafford. After not practicing on Wednesday, Sean McVay iterated that all signs point toward Stafford not suiting up for the Rams in Week 13.

Stafford remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol after suffering the injury in Week 11 versus the New Orleans Saints. Before the veteran quarterback can return to gameday action, he’ll need to clear the protocol, which doesn’t seem to be a possibility this week.

On Monday, McVay was noncommittal on naming a starting quarterback for the Rams if Stafford were to be sidelined again. It was Bryce Perkins who drew the start in Week 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but John Wolford could be healthy enough to return to action in Week 13.

Considering that Stafford has been in the league’s concussion protocol twice this season, there may be a point where the Rams elect to shut him down for the rest of the year.
