From my perspective, the Rams need a legit LT and need to add a few starter-quality OL. I wouldn't snub my nose at a good RB either. after that they just need to get healthy. We won't know what the Rams need until players come back.
Ehhhh...I think it's fair to assume that the team's gonna need a fresh look on the o-line. I know that that unit has suffered catastrophic injuries this season. But truth be told, they were a compromised unit to begin with. Remember, that unit was healthy heading into Week 1. And what did that get us? Only 52 rushing yards and 7 sacks given up. Don't recall how many more times Stafford got hit.
And though I agree with you that we need a legit LT, I'd argue that the unit needs a true anchor more than anything. Thought Havs was going to be able to take over Big Whit's role in that regard. But after watching a one-legged Micah Parsons destroy him (after calling a unit meeting earlier in the season), I think it's clear that he's just a role-player.
It's gonna cost us some draft picks and a new contract on the back end, but I'd be looking hard at acquiring Laremy Tunsil from the Texans. Thereafter, we have Havs on the right side along with Shelton at center. Open competition at both guard spots.
And yes, Sean...they'll have to play a few series during the pre-season.
I think that we should be back in business in short order as I see no other glaring holes involving major personnel investments.
ETA: Will acknowledge that a capable edge rusher is required as well.
