Could or would McVay call a couple of different plays today? Yeah sure. Didn't love the failed 4th and short from shotgun. It narrowed the play calling. He's had that lapse before, too. But I digress
Overall? The BIG picture? I'd nail that guy's feet to a piece of plywood to keep him. McVay is all about adapting.
I'm curious to see how he deals with Perkins development.
Not a prospect he would have relished knowing about earlier in the year, but in this scenario he'll take those lemons and make sunbursting good lemonade.
Expect to have some sort of big player acquisition before the start of next season to match next to Aaron.
They know, Sean knows that as a long as AD is part of the club that they have a chance to take it all....again.
