This is my problem with McVay, (he is my favorite Rams coach). I am ok with drafting Tutu over Humphrey if you scheme to protect or play to your strengths, when McVay is involved and he attacks or takes what the defense is giving him he is Walsh like, but when he gets stuborn and forces his will he is Martz like.
With Tutu, I wanted Humphrey, but was ok with the pick because I thought McVay would somehow scheme a OLB trying to cover Tutu, but when you try and play smash mouth with a light inferior line it did not make sense what his thought process was. My complaint with McVay with Stafford was stay involved and design a game plan, like you did for Goff, when Stafford got here he just "through him the keyes" and said good luck, now we eventually won the SB but it took a while. With Baker, McVay is back to scheming and he is controlling the game, that is the McVay I want when Stafford comes back
