Whit and Saffold were quite a tandem on the left side. But the unit always seemed to be undermined by the center and right side.

Yes. Sully, Blythe, and Havs play(ed) hard, but truth be told...they could always be pushed around - and McVay could never find a way to counter this (not sure if many other coaches could either).

But why, after the drubbing the right side took during the Super Bowl (2019), did they not realize this and: A) retain Saffold; and/or, B ) get some maulers?

This is why I say that the Rams need to re-evaluate what they're looking for in linemen. I can only hope that Logan Bruss represents a change in their mentality.
