The Color Purple (karma)

November 06, 2022 05:21PM
There was something I have dreaded since this off season. The feeling that Stafford and McVay got rid of Robert Woods for questioning the Kupp prioritization. Hey we got a ring and the best WR season ever out of it so I am not complaining about the Kupp utilization but it (the possibility of trading a team captain for questioning play calls)made me think less than wonderful thoughts about my team when I should have been blissed out on a Super Bowl title. "They let him go to a contender" true but he is California kid, he wanted to stay. This reminds me of that scene in the Color Purple when Celie pulls the knife on Mr and curses him. "Until you do right by me everything you think about is gonna crumble". Well Tutu, Alan Robinson, the OL, injuries; it dang sure feels like the Rams caught the same curse. From Super Bowl Champs to this, bad karma. Players who have questioned the play calling in the McVay era haven't faired to well afterwards.
