One, I highly doubt all of them walk out the door together like a 1998 Chicago Bulls-type situation. And frankly I think McVay is more tied to Stafford and Kupp than Donald.
Donald might well retire after 2023. I would think 2024 at the latest. But Stafford and Kupp's extensions both keep them in LA through at least 2024 and likely 2025.
I think part of their trade offer for Burns is planning for life after Donald and wanting a star defensive player to backfill there.
I think McVay is there through 2024 (8 seasons as HC) with a chance for a 9th season in 2025. At the absolute latest 2026 and 10 full seasons but I'd give that roughly 25/75 odds right now.
I don't get why such a passionate football junkie would just walk away from something he loves so much....I highly doubt TV will fill that void. Most coaches at this level coach until they are fired, they hardly ever just walk away, especially at 40 years old.
I was hoping for the next 10 years at least....I believe his extension is through 2026, so I don't see him leaving until after the 2026 season
