Could be that they are red shirting TTA this season. VJ is a FA after this season and they may not re-sign him. Perhaps they are saving their Ferrari for 2023. I would try to use his speed and pass tracking abilities. Besides them totally losing faith in him for I don't know what this is my only hunch.
That theory holds no water.
Rams need to prove to their own satisfaction that Atwell can be a quality starter before pursuing such a strategy.
And yet Atwell scarcely sees the field.
There seems only one logical conclusion to draw here. Namely, that Atwell isn’t likely gonna be a Rams starter anytime soon. He may be traded or released as soon as next offseason.
One of those fates will befall several other current Rams, as well, I’m sure. I foresee a serious housecleaning in our roster next offseason.
