In zone Rams give up less than 9 yards a reception

November 01, 2022 08:08AM
in man, they give up 16 yards a reception. So people want more aggressive stuff so we can give up longer
plays?

In man, one of your safeties has to cover more, get stickier---who do you want doing that? Rapp? Scott? Don't think so

You also need a nickel who can cover---means Ramsey has to be there, but everyone here seems to want him
outside...so who do you want at nickel? Kendrick? Long? Rochelle?

Rams don't have the personnel to do what everyone is asking.

The problem vs 49ers was yards after catch--missed tackles. That's on the players. 2/3 of the passing
yards was YAC....and that cannot happen.

Also, this is match zone---they show the same or similar things (the shell) and rotate to cover-3, 4, 6, 2
or whatever...and the "match" part is when DBs identify the route concept it's break to the ball if it is
a short pass or match the route, it's man-to-man anyway.

Also--that 18th in the chart is deceiving--it includes the pick 6sand blocked punt
Rams are a top 10 defense---it's good enough to win most of the time
