I'd prefer off coverage for a few reasons.
1. Jimmie G has a history of beating himself, make him beat you with long drives.
2. like I said, outside of Ramsey, I trust no DBs in press man.
3. if you are in press man, you are constantly in a turn and run or chase position. I don't know how you run, but I run with my head forward. So at least in zone, or off man, their facing forward and in better position to help against the niners dangerous run game.
4. the one thing I don't hear much about is Shannys use of motion. everyone uses motion, but Shanny uses it to get you to overthink, and see things that aren't there. Stay zone, hold your position and don't bite.
5. lastly, with Aiyuk, Deebo, CMC and Kittle, 1 on 1 in man is disaster waiting to happen IMO.
I get what you are saying but can only respond with how many victories has the off coverage gotten us against the whiners?
We're losing EVERY game against them anyway using this off coverage, why not mix it up? What could happen? We lose the game???
How could it possibly get worse?
Is it better to lose 17 or 24? A loss is still a loss. I would rather go down fighting and get beat by 50 than be passive and "hope" THEY make a mistake on that 15 play drive and lose by 17.
Seems to me the disaster has already happened...8 times in a row. What we're doing clearly isn't working against them. Something HAS to change IMO...on both O and D.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
