It's no secret the Los Angeles Rams have struggled to put pressure on quarterbacks this season.

In an attempt to remedy the situation, they've made a trade offer for Carolina Panthers' edge rusher, Brian Burns, according to SI.com's Albert Breer.
"The Rams have been looking for a pass rusher to replace the production they lost with Von Miller's departure, have first-rounders in 2024 and '25, and already made a substantial offer for Burns," Breer wrote.
While it's unclear what the Rams offered the Panthers in exchange for Burns, Carolina GM Scott Fitterer recently said it would take an "astronomical" deal to trade the 24-year-old. Earlier this week, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the "minimum buy-in' for Burns started at two first-round picks.
The Rams won't be alone in their pursuit of Burns, as Breer reports that the Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, and Philadelphia Eagles are all searching for pass-rushing help ahead of the trade deadline.
Burns has posted 29 tackles and five sacks through seven games this season for the Panthers. In 2021, Burns was named to his first Pro Bowl after recording 50 tackles, nine sacks, and two forced fumbles in 17 games.
The Rams may not be strictly buyers at the deadline. Breer added that safeties Terrell Burgess and Taylor Rapp, cornerback David Long and running back Cam Akers could be on the move.
