I understand the numbers ... and we need a RB ... and I believe we'll get one.
But the premier positions in the league are QB, OLT, and edge. Then CB.
They're talking about Hunt for a 4th. That's nothing. Maybe a cast of OG as well for a 6th?
What we're talking about is "Who changes our team for this year that can be part of our future?" We tend to spend our 1sts well. Especially seeing guys like Toney get traded after being drafted in the 20s.
Teams in a rebuild will sell low ... so since there are edge players on those teams, it's time to put something together. Burns and Chubb are at the top of the list.
Also, no one trades an OLT mid season ... that said we're likely okay with AJ.
We get Van back, Brycen Hopkins ... Brian Allen then Shelton ... and likely a RB. Stafford gets more time with A Rob (he didn't throw much in TC) ... That likely helps our pitiful offensive performance.
If there was a scheme fit OLT on a losing team I'm sure we'd be talking about it. But that's not a thing.
