What you might see the Rams do is run a couple fake jet sweeps and then check the all-22 photos to see how the 49ers react to them. If the 9ers have the jets sweeps covered the Rams probably won't run one. But if the 9ers look vulnerable then they'll run it for real.
We've all seen the Rams run multiple fake jet sweeps in a game but never actually run one for real. The reason as I understand it is the the defense is covering the fake jet sweeps well such that if the Rams ran one it would likely get stuffed but continuing to run the fakes takes a couple guys out of the play.
And I like Powell on the jet sweep more than any other options we have.
