Morris’ D is having a good season statistically, but I’m not at all sure that his ‘soft zone’ (or whatever you want to call it) is the best strategy vs Jimmy G and Shanahan’s game plans. Didn’t watch the Chiefs thrashing of the 49ers but I’m guessing Chiefs didn’t rely on soft zone?

I watched most of it just to see how the Chiefs D was going to play them and you are correct. The Chiefs played a ton of Pressure Man coverage. Even the announcers mentioned it.

Jimmie G. wasn't able to determine PRE-SNAP where the ball was going to go. He actually had to think about it and actually scan the field and READ the D. Imagine that!

It was a G-E-N-I-U-S plan! Make Jimmie G. hold the ball and take away his quick reads! Who would've guessed!
