I agree. Offensively, getting Jefferson and Allen back helps without question. And then Shelton a couple weeks later.
Defensively, they're a top-10 defense that
could be top-5 with better edge rush production. And a top-5 defense can cover up a lot of warts. This is why edge rusher has been their focus since July and remains so today.
RB? I was not a fan of giving up a ton for McCaffrey. Excellent player for sure but he's had injuries plus what RB gets better in year 7 anymore (which is what he'll be in 2023)? And the OL supersedes that everything else on offense. And if they believe Williams can come back by week 10 then great.
I'd try to acquire a quality edge rusher, guard/tackle (depending on where they prefer to play Jackson) and/or running back-- in that order-- with the caveat that anyone they add be under contract at least through 2023 as well.
