That, and either Tom Light was the greatest left tackle in the history of football (he NEVER got called for holding in all the games I saw,) and Brady had time, in the third and fourth quarter of most games, to stand flat-footed in a heroic pose, eat half a croissant and avocado/turkey sandwich, and for example wait for Gronk to run up against a DB and shove him out of the way, and then deliver a perfect spiral.
The officials simply didn't call holding on the Pats at key times unless it was so, so blatant and repeated that it couldn't be ignored - that "protection" allowed for many of Brady's "miraculous" comebacks. All OK with Brady; he's a narcissist with the moral backbone of a marshmallow.
