That’s the problem.

Snead and McVay said last year after they didn’t draft a single OL that they didn’t need any help on the OL.

That’s been the single most inexcusable move they’ve made since McVay took over. Worse than paying Goff and Gurley, IMO.

They were able to move money around to soften the blow of the Goff and Gurley contracts, and it’s arguable that those 2 players could have played better or longer.

But ignoring the OL, when they knew Whitworth was leaving and betting on a bunch of unproven limited talent guys was just plain idiocy in combination with blatant bravado.

This OL was below average even with all the starters healthy. Take on the injuries, which were bound to happen when you ask guys to do more than their ability allows, and you’ve got what we’ve got. Total train wreak of an OL.
