I can no longer copy and paste even small excerpts from her columns, certainly can’t use links (an Athletic thing, I guess), so you’ll have to just take my word that I read this tidbit from her latest column.
She said essentially that Rams know that OBJ might be eventually cleared FOR PRACTICE by November but he may not be cleared to actually play until December.
That probably makes a difference in how Rams, or any other team approach these negotiations.
OBJ needs to be realistic through all of this.
TBH, I’m less interested in OBJ now than I was before opening day, anyway.
If Rams can’t fix their OL then nothing else matters, including OBJ. If Rams DO fix OL then they have ample weapons at their disposal starting with Jefferson, Atwell, Skow, and McCutcheon behind Kupp and AR. So I’m only lukewarm on re-acquiring OBJ.
Any scarce cap dollars might be better spent on other needs at other positions. RB and Edge certainly come to mind.
