That one Akers left (we've all seen the photos) was huge.
I can't believe Funk would have missed it - and he's gone. The tape from Notre Dame shows that Kiren Williams has the vision, moves, instinct (you can't teach it) and sense of timing to hit those holes.
I think Akers has come back gun-shy after his injury. And that's not what was predicted.
IF he's fully healed, I hope to see a lot of Williams when he comes back. Meantime gimme some Malcom Brown inside runs. Two-back sets, Malcom running on the inside, or in for pass protect, or pulling for Henderson running on the outside.
