I don't want to see him taking short passes where he might get hit by a SS or a linebacker.
The obvious problem - again - is that Stafford lacked that critical half-second or so that would have made that first long pass a completion.
And as I recall, Stafford took a nasty hit right after delivering it. Sacks are bad - shots to the ribcage or throwing shoulder immediately when a throw is completed are worse.
Scratch those plays from the playbook, now, until we have an O line assembled that can protect Stafford. And when the time comes, leave Tutu in for enough snaps to take the key off of him. And that means, for now, Tutu rides the bench.
