I have always thought that Hendu was a better back. Good video. Uses his stats well. Thing is, the videos really bear it all out. You have to applaud Akers' hard work to come back from the Achilles tear, but he doesn't look the same as he did and I thought that Hendu played better before the Akers injury. Another thing is the fumbles. Hendu doesn't fumble and Skers does. As far as the pass blocking it isn't close. Hendu is excellent in picking up blitzes. Hendu has better hands as a receiver. I agree this isn't close. Maybe McVay is worried about losing Hendu to injury in the early season and wants to save him for the playoffs. Maybe McVay is replaying Florida State videos in his mind when he sends Akers into the backfield. IDK. Seems pretty obvious to me.
