If the Rams are not in playoff contention by the end of the season

What I should have said is - If the Rams were to not be in the playoff pic towards the end of the season would it make sense to trade Aaron Donald ? Donald had said that he was ready to retire if the season ended without a Super-Bowl victory - he had said something to the effect that the feeling he had after the Rams won the Super-Bowl was the reason he decided to come back this year - he said that there was no other feeling like it and that it was the driving force for him to comeback and play this year - he also had said that he wanted to only play for 8 years but that feeling again was the reason he wanted to come back for a chance to experience it again - so with this in mind - if the Rams
don’t find themselves in playoff contention should they trade Aaron Donald to a team in playoff contention so that he might experience the joy of winning another SuperBowl? And at the same time the Rams would secure a bountiful of high draft choices to potentially secure their future. The choice would have to be Donald’s - he’s more than earned it
