Tutu had a few chances and failed every time. Why not give Cutch a play or 2 a game?
First, Tutu has seen 2 total targets. One was a dig where he got clobbered and dropped the ball. The other was a go, he was wide open and Stafford overthrew him. That is not a few. And he did not fail every time.
Seems like you prefer McCutcheon. He looked great in the PS. I get it. So, cheer for him. It isn't necessary to bash TTA to promote your guy.
I don't put down Rams players at all. We want them to thrive and help our team win. Your narrative that the 22-year old player is either not good enough or somehow washed up is puzzling. AR is making a huge amount of money to be the 1A to CK. So far, he hadn't produced. That's a problem. I think the whole timing mechanism is off due to our extensive OL injury problem. Let's hope that gets fixed and all our receivers thrive.
Seriously, can we stop with the "Tutu hasn't had a chance" stuff? Just because you and only you are saying it doesn't make it true.
Tutu's stat's from Preseason last year:
Rams: Tutu Atwell Games 3 Games Started: 2 Targets: 29 Drops: 0 Rec: 18 PCT: 62.1 Yards: 129 TD's 0
So, as you can see, he had 29 targets with 18 receptions just in the preseason. I won't even bother posting his in season stats for obvious reasons. 29 targets DOES count as having a "chance". Especially considering that the Rams were FORCING the ball to Tutu every game.
Tutu had plenty of chances last year in the preseason AND regular season so please...just stop. And yes...he DID fail at EVERYTHING he did. He failed to make an impression at anything. He looked very average IMO. And that's putting it nicely.
If Tutu was any good at all, he would have been playing more. Why would McVay keep a "weapon" on the bench when we are hurting for WR production? That would make him pretty stupid wouldn't it?
Yes, I do prefer Cutch over Tutu so far. Why? Cutch looks like he can play a little bit. Tutu does not.
Cutch led the NFL in Preseason with 259 yards and 2 td's with LESS chances than Tutu and scored more TD's too. Wait...Tutu didn't didn''t score ANY TD's...did he?
The truth is that Cutch has done MORE with LESS chances in 4 preseason games than Tutu has had last year AND this year combined and you know it.
I agree on ARob not producing and that's exactly why I would play Cutch for a few plays a game. If he fails...move on to the next guy. I don't see a logical reason he can't learn a few plays from the playbook.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
