I've always thought that tight man coverage works for a while but depends on the pass rush getting there in time to disrupt the QB and force a bad throw. If the O line holds, something bad happens when man coverage breaks down.

When a tacle playing through a guard and the center, and/or an OT, and/or whoever else, is your chief pass rusher and your secondary is riddled with injuries, holding the opposing O to 17 points should be a winnable game - unless your O is banged up beyond their ability to perform.

I watched a few plays from the games televised in my area; couldn't get into any of them, but saw what I learned from you in action. Live by tight man coverage, die by it.
