I do know that man coverage gets rocked
a lot. [b
When a QB sees it he goes there[/b]
Agreed but it goes BOTH ways. As soon as Jimmie G saw the off coverage...he went there (as did every other QB we faced)...and completed it almost EVERY time.
For me, at least with "tighter" coverage, the QB HAS to to think for a split second or two longer before releasing the ball. He has to see if the WR is "even" with the DB or behind. That gives our pass rush a split second or two longer to get there.
It also forces the OTHER team to MAKE a play whereas "off" coverage ALLOWS easier pre-snap reads and easier completions. (Except for our offense for some reason lol )
IMO, Good QB's can beat off coverage easier than tighter coverage. In fact, like Jimmie G, beating "off coverage" is his SPECIALTY. It makes no sense to me to play "off" against him as much as we do.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
