Morris ran the same crap he runs every game to start last season and this one. They don't change game plans enough to match the opponent. You rush 4 and drop 7 into zones when they arent good enough at it yet over and over and over again and you dont change and the Niners make you pay on short passes over and over again. Change it coach...disguise it coach, blitz with press outside here and there please just mix it up some or at least make it look different and like you are running something else even if you drop into your same soft shell 100 times in a row....get creative with it and get better at it....period.
It's like they are tailor-made for the 49ers and they ask to get their azz kicked. Soft coverage with zero pressure packages, nothing designed to get Donald free, not many overloads, zero extra guys blitzing. It's like they don't realize that Jimmy G loves to throw short and over the middle, he lacks the arm to get it down the field with any consistency, and outside the numbers, he is as likely to throw it to you as he is to his own guys, it's sickening to watch the Rams give the Niners exactly what they want and expect.
The same thing goes for the HC and his awful game plan, do we have any quick-hitting run plays? Get 19 the ball more....his one touch on O was a nice play design and a miss direction quick hitter that worked....never saw it again....why? Your willing to run that WR and TE screen garbage until it costs you the game...go back to things that work coach...McVay is better than he is giving right now and we all know it....Stafford missed too many...but so did the HC on his calls that late screen was just a terrible play call, they were moving the ball in chunks, and were in an up-tempo so what do they do? Slow it down and go to the line and stare down yet another sideways screen pass that gets picked and hauled back for six....game over.
The coaching so far this season is leaving a lot on the table on both sides of the ball and that's a fact. Lots of injuries...but the young DBs and the Oline have been decent enough...the coaching and scheme are not good enough right now period.
