A lot of early OL shuffling plus running into the Buffalo buzz saw week 1 doesn't help. I say let's see where the running game- and the team- stands after week 6.
I simplify things in the running game by saying Henderson and Akers have combined for 138 yards on 41 carries. That's 20.5 combined attempts per game which isn't enough. Needs to be 25+. And 3.4 YPC isn't what you want either. Get that up to 4.2 and you're doing fine.
I keep mentioning Jefferson, but get him back into the mix and it could help the running game as well. And OBJ later in the year.
Long way to go. The running game was nonexistent week 1. Pretty good week 2. Let's keep improving from there.
