"A greedy play from me on the first pick, no question about it. Casey Hayward to the field, veteran corner, tight end on him, Cooper Kupp in the slot. How he didn't come off on the out cut, I don't know. I thought he was coming off, kind of lost vision, put it in a bad spot to be honest with you."
I can vouch for this. I was at the game on Sunday and it's just crazy how much attention Kupp gets. Stafford simply looking in Kupp's direction forces the safety to commit and another DB or LB (if Kupp is in the slot or in motion) to at least glance over.
With that said, though...

2nd interception
Stafford’s second pick proved to be much more costly, even with the Rams leading 28-3 at the time. He tried to hit Kupp on an in-breaking route after a play-action fake, drawing the linebackers up.
That was a terrible (and unnecessary) decision. I'm book-ended by Falcon fans and once McVay/Stafford were done tossing Robinson his 1st quarter bone, EVERYONE KNEW Kupp was getting the ball from there on out.
Why McVay/Stafford don't use Kupp a tiny bit more as a decoy (thereby making him more potent while limiting wear and tear) is beyond me.
