You and me both!
To take one play: That late TD play where Ramsey got roasted for giving up on the play... I didn't see him give up. He slowed down, looked for other zone responsibilities apparently (off the tV screen) and expected safety over the top - Rapp, who isn't that great in coverage - to pick up the reveiver. Ramsey sees receiver not covered plus ball in the air, sprints toward play - too late.
.
It was cov-4 with a trap or "palms" call, Ramsey thought the #2 receiver was going to break outside, and he would have had the #2, but while he was looking at that, the #2 went vertical and by the time he reacted to that Diggs was past him.
No matter who he took he knew it one of the guys was going to be his with no safety help. He was supposed to read #2 to #1, and took too long recognizing the route concept. Essentially, once you recognize the route it is de facto man-to-man coverage. You just wait for the play to declare . . .
Yup. That was EXACTLY how Ramsey described it in the video almost word for word. He also added that when a great WR...like Diggs...gets even ONE step on you...it's over...and it was. lol
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
