To take one play: That late TD play where Ramsey got roasted for giving up on the play... I didn't see him give up. He slowed down, looked for other zone responsibilities apparently (off the tV screen) and expected safety over the top - Rapp, who isn't that great in coverage - to pick up the reveiver. Ramsey sees receiver not covered plus ball in the air, sprints toward play - too late.
Should he have been with the receiver all the way into the endzone? Should the safety have closed earlier, regardless? Scheme and assignment breakdown being blamed on the player IMO.
When Raheem switched to a more aggressive secondary and LB play we won a Super Bowl. I cannot see the sense of reverting back to something that is proven not to work - especially against the better teams.
