I get that, but Atwell had nothing to do with the draft. He was available and got picked. He wasn't picking.
Makes no difference to me where he was picked. Makes no difference who wanted to pick him or what player he was taken over. The bottom line for me is that Doodoo just isn't very good. Period.
He might have been a good college WR but this is the NFL. IMO, Tutu's game clearly hasn't carried over very well.
He looked faster than a lot of players in college. In the NFL...not so much.
He caught a lot of balls in college. In the NFL...not so much.
He was able to take the hits from smaller college players and survive. In the NFL...not so much.
Tutu Atwell is over rated and over hyped IMO and will be out of the NFL before too long.
))))
Agree with everything you said.
I just hope that it doesn't take as long as it did to finally move on from Tavon. This was Mcvays pick so it probably will.
I think McVay will know when to move on from Tutu if the time comes Killrazor. We aren't as "desperate" for a playmaker now as we were with Tavon. How many more chances did McVay get him after he dropped the only pass thrown to him?
Tavon was a BEAST in College. His highlights of BIG plays was off the chart! Some of the most electric highlights I have seen! Some of that "electricity" carried over to the NFL but not enough.
IMO, Tavon looked stronger, faster and more elusive than Tutu has when playing next to NFL caliber players.
Tutu Atwell is an "enigma" and will be a "Boom or Bust" type player. Right now, he has been more "bust" than "boom".
I think this is Tutu's last chance to shine for McVay or else he might not be back next year. It's a shame too because we really could use a WR that could take the top off of the D opening the underneath stuff or even hauling in some 50 yarders!
We have 16 games to go so Tutu still has some time but the clock is definitely ticking.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
