Been watching second half again. Only down seven going into 4th quarter. 17-10. The Davis long catch where he toasted Long was a biggie. It got the Bills in close and their QB ran over swags to score. So we are down 14 with nearly a whole quarter to play.
Staff thrown the bad interception and then Diggs runs by Ramsey and that was it. Yes, our Rams were totally outplayed. Yes, it was a horrible loss, but, the silver lining is despite playing so poorly three fourth quarter plays were really the difference.
Our starting CBs shouldn't get beat like that. And our incredible QB can't throw that pick, especially when he's into his come from behind thing he does.
The thing the defense is designed to do it stop huge plays...like it or not that is the Fangio/Staley defense that Morris runs and McVay wants. And what happened? Two big plays made it a blowout---before them, Rams down by just 7.
So, Long and Ramsey get toasted...oddly when Ramsey was outside not at the star position...we are seeing Ramsey give up long plays---when he is outside, 4 long ones in six games...if Rams cannot rely on him---they are in trouble, he's supposedly the best CB in NFL
As far as first half, getting 3 points on 3 turnovers is also a huge problem...when offense gets three extra possession . . .and does nothing with it.
So, where the defense failed is doing the one thing you cannot do, give up easy touchdowns.
Also, Rams pass rush sucked. very little pressure, what little there was came for (of course) Donald. The three edge guys in the rotation were non-existant in the rush
