I think the defense must lead the way. If it is genuinely elite, I think we can have a memorable season.
We face multiple elite offenses. And we don't have the running game to keep them off the field.
What am I asking?
1. Throttle the run, even against power units.
2. Get off the field on 3 & long.
4. Severely limit big plays.
4. Get red zone stops.
I think we must improve in these areas. Our offense was erratic last year. If our D can't be consistently elite, I think it will be a long year.
